00am Mon Valley Care Center is a 60 bed skilled nursing facility/41 bed personal care home located near I-70/Rt.
43 in Monongahela.
The security guard is to maintain security for facility buildings and grounds.
The security guard is responsible for:
Completing necessary forms and reports.
Reporting maintenance concerns observed during rounds throughout the facility.
Assuring visitors sign in and out after 4:
30pm and throughout the day on weekends and holidays.
Monitoring employees returning to facility after working hours.
Performing a security walk through facility every hour according to a schedule.
Reporting all unlocked doors on Daily Guard Report Documenting all incidents.
Locking entrance and exit doors at the assigned times.
Provides shift report to officer on next shifts (turn over keys and cell phone).
Handling emergencies (i.
e.
, rescheduling work assignments and work schedules, etc.
) efficiently.
Ensuring Mon Valley Care Center facilities and property are secure and free of dangerous or suspicious situations.
Moves intermittently during working hours.
Is subject to frequent interruptions May be asked to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when schedules or necessary.
Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.
g.
severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.
)
Specific Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess a basic knowledge of security procedures, regulations and current applicable laws, as well as procedures to follow during emergency conditions.
Must possess the ability to notify the proper authorities when circumstances warrant such action in an emergency situation.
Must possess ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, Government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must be a minimum of (18) years of age.
Must be well groomed, have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations.
Operates the fire alarm system.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to lift (25) pounds.
